Mistakes

Made a lot of them 
plenty of times in this lifetime
some small and receive 
just a slap on the wrist and a warning

Some rather large
that I should have just
kept my mouth shut
and not say a word to avoid being hurt

But a few I question
if it was my fault
or if I just became 
a scapegoat to blame for other's mistakes
